Popping Crease Player of the Year: Cast Your Vote for 'Paras Khadka'
The man with possibly the biggest following outside Test cricket, Paras Khadka is the key man for Nepal. As a general rule of thumb, if Khadka has a good game, Nepal win. If he has a bad game, they lose. In the WCL and Qualifier, he had enough good games to lead Nepal to by far the most successful year in their cricketing history; the WCL Division Three winners are also off to Bangladesh. So Paras Khadka is selected as a nominee of "Popping Crease Player of the Year 2013". Give him your valuable vote to select as a winner. Now he is in Second position.

ICC World Cup Qualifier Team Nepal Squad Announced by CAN

A 15-member Squad has been announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for the ICC WC Qualifiers tournament, that is going to take place in New Zealand from 13th January to 1st February, 2014.

The first choice 15 member squad includes Paras Khadka (captain), Gyanendra Malla (vice Captain), Sompal Kami, Shakti Gauchan, Sharad Vesawakar, Basant Regmi, Pradeep Airee, Binod Bhandari, Prithu Baskota, Anil Mandal, Subash Khakurel (wicket keeper), Jitendra Mukhiya, Avinash Karna, Sagar Pun and Mahesh Chhetri.

Rahul V.K, Amrit Bhattarai, RamNaresh Giri and Naresh Bahadur Budhayair have also been selected as the reserves.

The inclusion of a young pace bowler Sompal Kami came after his impressing performance in the U-19 National Tournament as well as in the matches of Journey to World Cup where Nepal came second after losing to Air India team in the final.

Also, Prithu Baskota got back to the team after recovering from a knee injury that kept him sidelined in the T20 World Cup Qualifying matches.

Team Nepal has been included alongside UAE, Scotland, Hong Kong and Canada in the Group A for e 50-over (One-Dayers) World Cup.

All the best Team Nepal!
