प्रेमको सजायँ युवतीलाई सामुहिक बलात्कार

९ माघ, काठमाडौं । संसारको सबैभन्दा ठूलो लोकतान्त्रिक मुलुक भन्ने गरिएको भारतको पश्चिम बंगालमा गैरआदिवासी युवकसँग प्रेम गरेको भन्दै २० वर्षकी आदिवासी युवतीलाई पञ्चायतको आदेशमा १२ जनाले सामुहिक बलात्कार गरेका छन् ।

प्रहरीका अनुसार वीरपुर जिल्लामा गाउँ पञ्चायतको आदेशमा यो युवतीको सामुहिक बलात्कार भएको हो । गैरआदिवासी युवकसँग प्रेम गरेर अपराध गरेको भन्दै पञ्चायतले युवतीलाई २५ हजार रुपैयाँ जरिवाना तोकेको थियो ।

जिल्ला प्रहरी प्रमुख सी सुधाकरले भनेका छन्–‘राजारामपुर गाउँकी पीडित युवतीको छिमेकी गाउँका एक गैरआदिवासी युवकसँग सम्वन्ध थियो । उनीहरुले पछिल्लो ५ वर्षदेखि एकअर्कालाई भेट्दै आएका थिए ।’
सोमबार केटा पक्षले विवाहको प्रस्ताव लिएर केटीको घरमा आएको गाउँलेले देखेपछि पञ्चायत बोलाइएको थियो । पञ्चायतको कारवाहीका क्रममा युवतीलाई हात बाँधेर राखिएको थियो ।

गाउँका प्रधान बलाई माण्डीले दुबै पक्षलाई २५÷२५ हजार जरिवाजा गर्ने फैसला सुनाए । केटाको परिवारले जरिवाना तिरे पनि केटीका परिवारले पैसा नभएको भन्दै तिर्न नसक्ने बताए ।

त्यसपछि युवतीका टाढाको आफन्त समेत पर्ने प्रधान माण्डीले युवतीलाई बलात्कार गर्न आदेश दिएका थिए । प्रहरीमा दिइएको उजुरीका अनुसार माण्डीले भनेका थिए–‘उसको परिवारले जरिवाना दिएन, त्यसैले जाओ र युवतीसँग मजा गर ।’

बलात्कारमा संलग्नहरु पीडित युवतीको बाबुका उमेरका समेत छन् । पीडित परिवारले बुधबार उजुरी दिएपछि प्रहरीले १२ जनालाई पक्राउ गरेको छ । पीडित युवतीको जिल्ला अस्पतालमा उपचार भइरहेको छ । भारतीय सञ्चार माध्यमहरुका आनुसार वीरपुरमा पञ्चायतले यस्तो आदेश दिएको यो पहिलोपटक भने होइन । सन् २०१० मा पनि गैरआदिवासी युवकसँग प्रेम गरेका कारण एक युवतीलाई निर्वस्त्र पारेर गाउँ घुमाउने आदेश दिइएको थियो । पूरा घटनाको भिडियो बनाइएको थियो ।

Cash Worth Rs.23.1 Million of Nabil Bank Looted at Malakheti in Kailali

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 10 - A vehicle carrying Rs. 23.1 million of Nabil Bank, heading from Mahendranagar to Dhangadi, was robbed by unidentified masked men today.

The heist took place at Malakheti-3, Chaukidanda along the Mahendranagar-Attaria road section when the vehicle was ferrying the cash from Mahendranagar branch of Nabil Bank to Nepal Rastra Bank's branch in Dhangadi.

According to police, four armed people dressed as traffic policemen stopped the vehicle mid-way and took control of the bank employees before making off with the cash. Police said the robbers had absconded with the money after taking the vehicle some three kilometers into the forest from the road.

The four employees of the bank were found at Kaluwapur in Kanchanpur, all in a blindfolded state. DIG of the Far Western Region Narayan Bastakoti has informed that police personnel have been deployed extensively around the region where the heist took place. (#Source: ImageKhabar.com)

Girl raped in Siraha

A girl has become pregnant through rape in Siraha . The incident comes just when the 16-day campaign against violence against women (VAW) is being marked across the country.

Although the rape had taken place six months back, the family members of the victim decided to make it public on Tuesday.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl with the surname Saha of Bhawanipur Kalabanjar-6 was raped by 32-year-old Kishori Saha from the same locality. The victim said the youth raped her at his house after he called her to his house to clean dishes.

She reported the case to the police at the Ilaka Police Office, Lahan on Tuesday. The girl also said that Saha has threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to anyone. The girl's mother had known that her daughter was pregnant only six months after and the crime had come to light.

Police have been mobilised to nab the culprit Saha, said the Ilaka Police Office, Lahan. RSS
