MaHa Australia Tour, MaHa Yatra 2014 to start on January 18

The MaHa duo, Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya and other artists are going to perform in various cities of Australia under a tour titled MaHa Yatra 2014.

The artists comprising of MaHa, Kiran KC, Basundhara Bhusal, Narendra Kansarkar, Shiva Hari Poudel, Kunti Moktan and Mohit Bamsha Acharya (Haribansha’s son) will also be in the MaHaYatra tour.

The artists are scheduled to reach Australia on January 16. The tour will start from the Australian city Perth on January 18 and will conclude in Sydney on February 2. The events will be conducted in the major cities like Perth, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Alidade, and Sydney.

In MaHaYatra 2014, MaHa will perform well known comedy shows of the past and a new show. Other artists will also be featured in different comedy shows and musical programs.

The schedule of the program is:

Nepathya on a Countrywide Musical Tour 2013

One of the most popular music bands in Nepal, Nepathya is gearing up for a music tour across Nepal spreading the messages of education and peace in 10 different places within the country including the capital Kathmandu.

This band’s musical tour is scheduled until Poush 5, 2070 and during this period Nepathya will travel in several places around the country including Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Damak (Jhapa), Gulariya (Bardiya), Beni (Myagdi), Lalbandi (Sarlahi), Lamahi (Dang), Gagangauda (Kaski), Biratchowk (Morang), Taulihawa (Kapilbastu) and Abukhaireni (Tanahu). Here’s the schedule of the musical tour below.

Founded in the year 1990 with three band members, Deepak Rana, Amrit Gurung and Bhim Poon, the band has been consistent over 20 years despite seeing many band members come and go.

‘Chhekyo Chhekyo’, ‘Taal Ko Paani’, ‘Resham’, ‘Chari Maryo Shishaiko Golile’ are some of the best evergreen songs delivered by this Nepali Folk Rock Band.

With a total of 9 music albums starting from their first in 1991- ‘Nepathya’, the blend of pop, folk and rock music has created a music charm in every Nepali music listeners.

The band has toured in several places within the country and abroad in the past decade. Their recent historic performance at Wembley Arena in London brought around 8,000 strong Nepali music lovers on August 3, 2013.

The musical concert aimed at spreading the message of peace, progress and education in the country is expected to bring enthusiastic participation.

Latest Update: The band has finished performing at their first stop – Ratnanagar, Chitwan and has headed to Biratchowk.

Rekha Thapa successfully screened Kali in Hong Kong

Rekha Films’ superhit movie, ‘Kali’ was successfully screened in Hong Kong on December 8, 2013. The lead actress and the producer of the movie, Rekha Thapa, watched the movie with the viewers. Rekha had gone to Hong Kong on December 3.

The Council General of Nepal in Hong Kong, Mahesh Prasad Dahal was present in the ceremony. After the show, Rekha has stated that the screening of the movie was a "grand success" in Hong Kong.

Rekha Thapa taking Kali to Hong Kong in the first overseas show

After a huge success of Rekha Film’s movie ‘Kali’ in Nepal, the movie is going overseas. The first overseas premiere of the movie is going to be held in Hong Kong on December 8, 2013.

The producer and the lead actress of ‘Kali,’ Rekha Thapa will also watch the movie with the viewers. The event is supported by Himali Engineering Contruction Pvt.Ltd.

Binita Baral to be featured in Telling a Tale: Kitchen Dramas, starting December 6, 2013

Actress Binita Baral is doing a play running on December 6, 7 and 8th in Theater Village, Lazimpat. The play by One World Theater is titled "Telling a Tale: Kitchen Dramas". The paly is about personal stories by Nepali girls and women in funny and serious way.

The play is based on the narratives edited by Archana Thapa. The play is adapted and directed by Deborah Merola. The play features actors Binita Baral and Devya Dev. Binita says that the she is enjoying the theater experience.

Poojana Pradhan’s hot moves in Hong Kong Geet Gunjan Sanjh Cultural Program 2013 November

Actress Poojana Pradhan started her career with modeling photos in bikini and after that, she has never failed to show her skin now and then. Although Poojana has changed herself to a sober religious Jayasangat resident and social work, her reel life hasn’t changed much. Poojana’s bed scenes in ‘Rakshya’ created a lot of controversy.

Poojana is currently in Hong Kong to participate in a cultural program there. Here are some of the photos of her dance.

Happy Birthday Sushma Adhikari

Nepali actress Sushma Adhikari is celebrating her birthday today (November 24). In the morning Sushma visited Pashupatinath Temple to worship and get blessings from the god.

Sushma is debuting in Nepali movie industry in an upcoming movie ‘Pipal’. She has modeled in various television, print advertisements and music videos.

Binita Baral performing in theater on December 6 to 8

Actress Binita Baral is going to perform in a play on December 6, 7 and 8. The play titled ‘Telling a Tale’ is made of stories of Nepali women.

In her Facebook post, Binita shared a photo of the director Deborah with her. She says that she has enjoyed working with the director.

She also shared a photo of the actor Devya Dev. Talking about the actor Binita says that she is "always impressed with his dedication and passion in acting." She also says that they are having a very good chemistry between them and she has appreciated the acting skills of Devya.

Karishma Manandhar going to Qatar for New Year program

Actress Karishma Manandhar is visiting Qatar to participate in the New Year and Qatar National Day Musical Show in Doha. The event to be held on December 18 will feature solo and group dances, songs and other cultural programs.

The attraction of the program include Karishma, popular singer Pramila Tamang and Swor Sangram winner Dhruba Tamang. The venue of the cultural program in Holiday Villa Hotel.

The event is being organized by Prabashi Nepali Sangitik Parwiwar, Doha. Karishma is returning back to Nepal on the next day, December 19.

Poojana Pradhan to perform in Hong Kong on November 24

On November 24 Hot and Sexy actress Poojana Pradhan is going to perform in Yau Ma Tei Community Hall in Hong Kong with other artists.

In the event organized by Top Mountain Tae Kwon Do Association, artists including singers Raju Gurung, Jyoti Lohani, Kulendra BK, Debika KC Gurung, Dev Gurung, Manju Thapa will be singing on stage.

The winners and runner-ups of Feona Dance Idol will also be performing in the program.

Happy Birthday Hari Bansha Acharya

Kartik 27 is Hari Bansha Acharya‘s birthday. He was born on Kartik 27, 2014 BS (October 9, 1958) in Gairidhara, Kathmandu. Although the English date was on Saturday, the Nepali birthday is today (October 13).

 

The only son of father Homanjaya Acharya and mother Ganesh Kumari, Hari Bansha struggled to establish himself as a comedy artist for about six years until he met Madan Krishna Shrestha. The duo Madan Krishna and Hari Bansha ruled the comedy sector for the last three decades (source).

Apart from acting in stage shows, tele-serials and movies Hari Bansha has also sang songs and released music albums. His autobiography ‘China Harayako Manche’ was an instant hit and the book has also established him as a writer.
